# How to set up a proxy server in Windows 11

Here's how you can easily setup your proxy in Windows 11.

1. First thing's first, check your device's or computer's IP address [here](https://whoer.net/) as you will need to whitelist it from your Ace Proxies proxy plan. Once you have your IP address, please go to the dashboard and whitelist that IP address as detailed on this FAQ [article](https://aceproxies.crisp.help/en-us/article/how-do-i-authenticate-a-new-ips-1jyoweq/?1563456232874) and ensure you are using [HTTP/HTTPS protocol](https://aceproxies.crisp.help/en-us/article/how-to-change-my-proxys-format-type-5roql5/?1563456232874) in your proxy plan if you wish to access the internet using any web browser while the proxy is on.

2. Press Windows + I buttons on your keyboard to open the Windows 11 Settings, or simply navigate to **Windows** Icon on your taskbar, and select **Settings**.

3. Select **Network & Internet** from the right-side menu.

4. Select **Proxy**.

5. Under **Manual proxy setup**, click **Set up**.

6. Toggle the **User a proxy server** status to **ON** and enter your proxy's IP & port in the fields provided and click on **Save** button once done.

That's it! Once configured correctly, you can simply Google search "What's my IP address?" and it should show you the IP address of your proxy.

| It's important to whitelist your device's or computer's IP address first before you configure the proxy as Windows 11 does not support Username:Password authentication; otherwise, you won't be able to access the internet.
